A collective prayer ceremony was held at the National Press Club (NPC), Islamabad, to offer Eisal-e-Sawab (prayers for the departed) for the club’s members and their loved ones who recently passed away.
The ceremony was attended by National Press Club President Abdul Razzaq Sayal, Secretary Dr. Furqan Rao, senior journalist Haji Nawaz Raza, Governing Body members Amir Rafiq Butt, Javed Iqbal, Qurban Satti, Ishaq Chaudhry, Raja Bashir Usmani, as well as the families and relatives of the deceased and a large number of NPC members.
Participants prayed for the forgiveness of the departed souls, the elevation of their ranks in the hereafter, and strength and patience for the bereaved families. They also paid tribute to the deceased, acknowledging their valuable contributions to journalism, society, and the profession, and said that their services would always be remembered.
