Who We Are & What We Do

The National Press Club (NPC) of Islamabad, Pakistan, is the premier representative body for over 3350 journalists based in the federal capital and Rawalpindi. As a central hub for media, it acts as a venue for press conferences, networking, and defending press freedom, featuring amenities like a library, cafeteria, and a mosque.

Professional Development

Offering training, workshops, and educational programs (such as through the National Press Club Journalism Institute) to advance journalism skills.

Advocating for Press Freedom

Taking positions against restrictions on journalists, defending access to information, and promoting high ethical standards.

Abdur Razzaq Sial is one of Pakistan’s experienced media professionals, having served in leading editorial and management roles since 1994. In March 2026, he was elected President of the National Press Club Islamabad, reflecting the confidence of the country’s journalist community. His career combines editorial excellence, newsroom leadership, digital innovation and strategic media management.

Throughout his career, Mr. Sial has contributed to the evolution of Pakistan’s media industry by combining traditional journalism with modern digital practices. His leadership in editorial management, digital transformation and organizational development continues to support journalists and strengthen professional media institutions.
