About the National Press Club

Who We Are & What We Do

The National Press Club of Pakistan, based in Islamabad, serves as one of Pakistan’s leading representative bodies for journalists and media professionals. Established to strengthen the journalism community, the club provides a collaborative platform for reporters, broadcasters, editors, and correspondents from across the country.

Located in the heart of the federal capital, the organization plays an important role in facilitating press conferences, media interactions, professional networking, and discussions on national and international affairs. The club also welcomes journalists visiting from other regions of Pakistan and abroad.

1960 - Club Founded

The National Press Club was established to unite journalists in Pakistan and provide a dedicated space for media activities.

1990 - Facilities Expansion

New conference rooms and multimedia facilities were added to support better journalism practices and meetings.

2000 - Welfare Initiatives

Initiatives were launched to support journalists’ welfare, including health programs and compensation funds.
